Chapter 170: Childhood Memory
I'll never forget the sight I saw as a child.
"Let's go deliver Father's lunch!"
On that day, Mother told me to go out
Holding the lunch box for Father in my right hand
My left hand holding Mother's hand
Walking in the city
I saw Father working in his office
I ran up to him.
At that moment
I heard a loud noise and my body was blown away.
I look up without knowing what happened
And what was in front of me
Father with his head cracked open like a ripe fruit.
Mother ran out screaming, carrying me in her arms.
Behind her were the knights of this country.
There is something strange about the movements of the knights
A lot of blood was spurting out from the gaps in their armor.
I hear screams
Somehow, the people of the city were being stabbed to death by the knights.
They were being slaughtered
They were beaten to death
Mother is running desperately holding me
But it didn't last long
Mother who was caught by the knights covered in blood
Threw me
"Hurry up and run away! Hurry up!"
The knight's eyes which can be seen through the gap in the helmet are terrifying
I ran away immediately as Mother said
"Run!"
I could hear my mother's voice behind me.
After a while, Mother started saying something else
"Help!"
I was so scared that I could only run away
And then Mother's voice changes again.
It was an unspoken scream.
I ran as fast as I could to get out of the city.
There were people in armor ahead of me.
They're going to kill me.
I thought so
"It's all right!"
But they were different
They protected me and everyone else who escaped from the bloody knights.
I was relieved to know that I had survived.
At the same time, I regretted leaving Mother to die.
That regret still lingers today.
But
For that moment alone, I forgot everything and was fascinated
From the castle where the Queen was
Great white wings spread out
And the owner of those wings rises to the sky
With wings so beautiful
A horrid lump of flesh that made me want to vomit
The lump of flesh howls
As if answering that, the bloody knight's armor bursts open.
The knights were lumps of flesh as well.
There were people who stood up against such a monster without fear.
There was a girl who threw a hatchet and blew off heads one after another.
There was a woman with dragon wings growing from her back.
There was a woman warrior covered in scars
There was a woman who made magic fall like rain
There was a man who cut down the lumps of flesh as if dancing
There was a flying ship that rained many rays of light
And then
Confronting the white-winged lump of flesh
Someone with wings of light
From the people who protected us
Someone said
Hero.
