Returning Back
I didn't expect to meet the current head of the Edgeworth family.
"Where did Shiero-dono and Fisse-dono come from?"
"From Geldarinne."
And for some reason, we keep telling lies
"From so far away..."
"Even though it's far away, there's an intercontinental locomotive running there. If you have the money, it's not hard to get here."
Oh well.
Let it be what it will be.
------
And so we arrive in Edgeworth territory.
"This gate hasn't changed."
"There's still some remnants left after Shiro-san melted it, right?"
I talked to Wince in a low voice so that others wouldn't hear us.
"Shiero-dono"
Stingray comes from behind
"Do you think you're okay now?"
"Yeah, thank you for helping me."
"No problem. We must help each other."
"I see... that's right! Then, if you ever have any trouble, you can rely on Stingray Edgeworth."
"I will do so. Shall we go, Fisse?"
"Yes!"
We crossed the gate and entered the territory
"I'll be waiting!"
The lord shouts loudly from behind
"It's tough, isn't it, first generation♪"
"Don’t make fun of me."
And then we parted ways with Stingray.
"What shall we see first?"
"Would you like to take a look at the restaurant?"
We had nothing in particular in mind.
We'd already accomplished our goal of meeting the current Lord of Edgeworth.
"Ah, it's a gala root."
"It's squeezed lees. Is it for livestock?"
Gala root with a slight sweet smell.
It was chopped up into small pieces and transported by wagon.
"What used to be over there?"
"That was his mansion, wasn't it?"
No, it's not an old story.
I don't even want to remember that crazy mansion.
"Oh, didn’t they demolish it and make it into a stable?"
"Really? I must have forgotten."
I looked towards the stable
"Hey traveler!"
An old woman called out to me
"Would you like to try this?"
It was a tout
"We're picky when it comes to food, you know?"
"Then all the better. How about some freshly cooked oats?"
"Oats? Have you ever heard of it, Wi... Fisse?"
"I've never heard of it."
The old woman opens the lid of the iron kiln.
White steam rises, and inside it
"This oat is a new variety that has only recently been produced in Edgeworth. It is not yet available in other territories, let alone in the empire."
It was oats that were cooked like rice.
"Here, take a bite."
She handed me a small portion on a plate.
So Wince and I ate it together.
"……"
"How's is it?"
Hmm, as someone who knows rice, I guess it's a little strange.
Honestly, it feels like I'm chewing a soft gummy.
"It's not that bad, is it? I guess you could say we have different tastes."
"That's right. Your husband's expression is not so good either."
"Maybe if it were softer, it would be easier to eat."
I think it would be great if it absorbs a lot of water like porridge or risotto.
"Softer... thank you, both of you."
I like it if you add a little more saltiness with fish sauce or spices.
It would be great if you also add some vegetables and roughly chopped meat.
-------
After that, we went for a walk and spent the evening.
"Isn’t the accommodation quite high quality?"
"It's two silver coins per night. For this quality, it's an exceptionally low price."
It's a bit like an inn.
"This is your room key."
After saying that, I grabbed the key given to me at the reception and headed to our room.
"What's that paper on that key?"
"What? Ah..."
It was a meal ticket
"Do two silver coins come with a meal?"
"You can feel the difference between the times..."
No, not yet
I don't know what kind of food it is yet.
"Why are we burning with memories of the past and feelings of rivalry?"
"I wonder why..."
And the breakfast was very delicious
Furthermore, when we finished our meal and left the cafeteria, I was given a lunch ticket.
I want to live here already!
No?
Do I have to go back to the Temple someday?
I see
I see………
Well, we can live a luxurious life at the temple, you know?
It's too big and respected that it's hard. Understand it!
