Free-for-All Battle
A few days later.
We ended up returning to the deepest part of the ruins again.
"Hey, Olasha."
"What?"
There are about 10 of us mercenaries acting as escorts for the Bachelor and the Boldoi intellectuals.
The rest of the group are waiting at the entrance.
I left them to Aritote and Doss.
And since we don't know anything about the ship, we've got a lot of free time on our hands, to be honest.
"These ruins are pretty big, aren’t they?"
"The stonework has mostly collapsed, so it's hard to get a full picture. Even so, the place where this ship is located is quite far from the entrance."
"I guess so..."
I remembered what the old men had said to me in the meadow.
"Is there something you are concerned about?"
"Hmm? Ah, I remember hearing from the old men in the meadow that there was a lake near this ruins."
"There was indeed a hollowed-out area, wasn't there? Is that it?"
"I have a hunch, but isn't that where we are now, at the site of that lake?"
Hearing this, Olasha put his hand on the wall and started to walk away.
"What's wrong?"
"I remembered Master’s words."
"What about?"
"It seems that the Empire has conducted stupid experiments in the past."
He says
They stored a flying ship directly under a man-made lake.
It is said that someone came up with a mechanism where the lake would split vertically and the ship would fly out when sortieing.
"Result is?"
"The ship was crushed by the falling water and was unable to fly."
"Isn't that stupid?"
"It is stupid."
While saying this, Olasha continues to examine the wall.
"Hey, you don't think..."
"Is it possible?"
No, no, no way
"Ah! I found something."
"Hey, is it true?"
"Both of you!"
When I tried to investigate the wall, we were stopped by Seltense.
"Emergency repairs to the ship have been completed... what are you doing?"
"Well, what do you think about this?"
"This... is!"
This guy!
Without hesitation, he lifted something on the wall.
After a while, the whole room vibrates.
"Huh? Maybe it was something that shouldn't be moved?"
"Are you really a bachelor? Think more carefully before you do something!"
"Sand is coming from the ceiling! Move, move, move!"
A lot of sand falls
But along with the sand, intense light also falls.
"Alright! It was the hangar shutter after all!"
"You should think more about the risks!"
------------
And the ceiling was completely opened
A ship swimming in the wind appeared under the sun
"It was a terrible sight."
"Bachelor-dono, is the ship moving?"
"I can't say there will be any problems, but we can definitely head to Boldoi. Shall we get it moving?"
I'm a little nervous
Can something like this really fly?
As I was thinking about this, someone came running down the narrow road.
"L-leader! There's trouble!"
"What's wrong!"
"The Boldoi glass owners have attacked the entrance of the ruins!"
"Damn it! They know what we're doing. Come inside at once!"
Given the size of this ship, everyone should be able to escape on board.
"That's not all! Shelma followed, and there's a free-for-all battle at the entrance!"
"…Seltense, does this thing have a weapon!"
"It has, and I know how to use it. But I don't know how many times we can use it."
"I don't care, we'll take off right away! We'll surprise the glass owners and Shelma and take advantage of that opportunity to retrieve our comrades!"
