Heading on foot to the Dragon Mountain
Halfway along the old highway to the west
After a certain point, we got off the road and head into the forest.
That's the route we decided on.
However, the old road is not well maintained.
It's just a wide road, almost like an animal trail in the woods.
"Why isn't anyone using this old road?"
"Because there's nothing but desert beyond it."
Wince answers.
"Also, according to the blacksmith, it's a cursed land where drowned corpses appear even though it's a desert."
“Is that blacksmith, Gotton-san's father-in-law?”
"Yeah, it's weird to have a drowned corpse in the desert, isn't it?"
Does Wince not know what a desert is?
If you think of it the same way you think of earth, it's quite possible to drown in the desert.
Deserts don't mean it doesn't rain.
It's just that the ground can't hold water.
And the extremely dry, microscopic sand can become hard-packed and rock hard.
So, they say, flash floods occur in the desert environment because water cannot seep into the ground.

I'd say 20 people in front and 10 behind.
