"Again! Another one!"
Kerios Paris Shelma
Third Prince of Shelma Kingdom
He mourns again today
"Why, brother! Do you want the throne so badly! You even plotted to kill my subordinates!"
Early in the morning, a report came in.
A direct vassal of the third prince was executed by order of the second prince for plotting a rebellion.
"He was truly a knight who swore loyalty to the kingdom."
"That's right. I can't believe he would betray me!"
The prince agrees with my words.
"Is it possible to hear the story directly in the royal capital?"
"It's dangerous. There's a risk of assassination, and..."
"Did something happen?"
"There is a report that Anjeal-sama’s subordinates have headed to Daviz-sama.”
"What?"
"As expected, those two…"
"Will one of them move me from here so that the other can attack in the meantime?"
"I think that's highly likely."
The prince sheds tears
"Why did this happen? When brother was still alive, we all swore to make the kingdom prosperous..."
Those tears are so angry that they are about to turn the color of blood.
"I think we have no choice but to rely on Eriol-sama?"
"No! Eriol is only 8 years old! How can I allow such a young sister to take part in a sibling killing spree!"
With that said, Eriol, the youngest daughter of Shelma Kingdom, was sent away by her three brothers.
"Is there any way?"
"…Only one thing"
"What is it?"
"There is the idea of relying on Marguerite, in a neighboring country."
"That's impossible. Ever since the former king... the man who pretended to be king died, the eastern countries have not intervened in the west at all."
"If the prince himself were to abandon everything..."
"……Do you want me to give up the throne?"
"I think this is the point where we must make a decision."
"I have no interest in the throne to begin with. In order to keep Shelma from becoming exhausted any further... I think we should become a hostage to the desert barbarians."
"Are you heading over?"
"I only need to bring as much property as possible. I'll hand over everything and head to Marguerite."
"Okay, I'll order everyone to get ready."
"Yes, please. Cynthia."
