Eternal Adventurer (WN): Chapter 583

Typewriter

"Hmm..."

Inside the store in the Imperial Castle Town

There, Eugenia is worried right in front of the product.

"Customer, are you looking for something?"

Perhaps because she hadn't moved for a while, the old man who owned the shop was worried and came to check on her.

"Yes, I'm looking for a typewriter."

"A typewriter? If so, here it is."

It's a white resin typewriter

"It's the latest model that was just released this year, and it supports human, goblin, wyvern, and currently known otherworld language."

"That's a wonderful product, but I'm sorry."

"Don't you like it?"

"No, I think it's wonderful. I came from the southwestern continent..."

"Oh, is it a power problem?"

"Yes, I heard that there is something useful called a typewriter, so I wanted one."

"Well... most of the things made by the empire have been replaced with electric ones, so they can't be used on the southwestern continent."

"It doesn’t matter if it’s old, is there anything that doesn’t use electricity?"

"Hmm... it's not like I don't have any idea. Please wait a moment."

After saying that, the old man disappeared into the back of the store.

And I hear a voice from the back

"Hey, ask the antique shop owner if they have an analog typewriter!"

"Even though it’s an analog type, I wonder if they keep those kind of stuffs these days?"

"Anyway, listen to me, and make sure you can use it properly!"

"Alright~!"

---

After a while, an old lady wearing glasses came to us.

She holds a wooden box in her hand.

"Is it you? The one who wants an analog typewriter?"

"Yes, that's right"

"…What are you using it for?"

"It's just for document creation."

When Eugenia answered yes, the old woman thought for a moment.

"It's four silver coins. Can you pay it?"

"No problem"

"It's been properly maintained every time, so it can be used right away. With this much ink ribbon, it should last for two years."

"Yes, thank you"

"Thank you, it would be a waste to leave it to rot. If you use it properly, I'll be satisfied with it."

With that said, the old woman went back.

Afterwards, I asked the old man who owns the shop.

This typewriter was designed and mass-produced by that old woman's ancestor.

And now no one uses it anymore

It was the last one sitting in the warehouse.

"You have to take good care of it and not neglect it's maintenance."
