School Days with a Pig
The 29th level is an active volcano stage.
Volcanic Slime emerges from the sea of magma and attacks us.
"The only thing that comes out is Volcanic Slime..."
"That's right. However, I feel like this floor is a slime stage."
"Will there be a slime with more experience points than Mithril slime?"
"The possibility is high."
"I see."
"I think they're on that active volcano."
"Are you insane... are you going to climb an erupting volcano?"
"Yeah"
"If we go up there, it’s going to be really hot!"
"I'm not hot."
"That's because Master is all bones!"
"Then why don't you make an ice pillow in the shape of a scarf? I heard that if you cool your neck, your whole body gets cooler!"
"Yes, yes! I'll make it! I should just make it! I'll dry up from the heat!"
Although Shiro was grumbling, she quickly made a scarf-shaped ice pillow and wrapped it around her neck.
"It’s true! It’s so cool!
With this, I can climb the volcano!"
“That’s right! There is a large blood vessel in the nape of the neck called the carotid artery that runs through the entire body!
When you cool those blood vessels, your entire body will cool down!"
"Master is very knowledgeable even though you have no brain!"
As always, Shiro is unconsciously dissing me.
Well, I don't have any blood vessels, let alone a brain.
While we were talking about such silly things, before we knew it, we were halfway up the volcano.
"Master, it’s impossible to climb any higher!
The magma is flowing right under our feet!"
"Indeed...... maybe there are only Volcanic Slimes in this level..."
And just as I was about to give up,
"Ah...! Master... Master! There's something there!"
Shiro spoke in a hurry.
I quickly looked in the direction Shiro was pointing at, and there I saw a slime that I had never seen before, staring blankly at us.
"Gold? No, copper-colored? Should I say brass?"
"Isn’t that the Orichalcum Slime that Master was talking about?"
"Maybe..."
I've never seen an actual Orichalcum either, so I don't know if the Brass Slime is Orichalcum Slime or not.
I quickly did an appraisal.
[Orichalcum slime, a slime that feeds on extremely valuable orichalcum. If you can defeat it, you will receive a huge amount of experience points]
Apparently, it's definitely an Orichalcum Slime.
"Master! That's an orichalcum slime!"
Shiro also seems to have appraised it with her secondary eye
"Shiro! Capture it!"
"Yes!"
Shiro fires a thread at the Orichalcum Slime.
However, the Orichalcum slime avoids all the threads with devilish speed.
"Master! I can't catch it!"
"Right..."
You'll know it when you see it.
The speed of the Orichalcum Slime is on another level.
Or rather, all I can see is the afterimage of the Orichalcum Slime.
"Shiro! Release your Ice Lance!"
"Understood! 3rd rank water attribute magic, Ice Lance!"
When Shiro fires her Ice Lance, the Orichalcum Slime is hit. And then it stopped.
It was hit normally.
"I did it! Master!"
"Yeah, it hit... but it doesn't seem like it took any damage at all..."
For some reason, the Orichalcum slime looks pleasant.
"Hit it again!"
"Yes!"
Crash*!
Shiro's Ice Lance hit the Orichalcum Slime again.
Once again, the Orichalcum Slime has a pleasant look on its face.
"This is that thing..."
"Yes... my ice lance is so cold and feels so good..."
The Orichalcum Slime looked at Shiro and looked like it wanted her to use Ice Lance more.
"Shiro! Change of strategy! Try using fire magic!"
"Understood! 3rd rank fire attribute magic, Fire Arrow!"
Boom*!
Shiro's Fire Arrow hit the Orichalcum Slime with all its might.
However, it doesn't seem to have any effect on the Orichalcum Slime...
"Master... it seems impossible for me to defeat it..."
Indeed, Shiro's magic had no effect at all.
That means that no matter how hard I try, I, who have a lower level than Shiro, can't defeat the Orichalcum Slime.
"Impossible."
"It's impossible."
Shiro and I gave up on defeating the Orichalcum Slime and headed down the mountain.
"So, why is that guy following Shiro?"
"I don't know! It's following me on its own!"
I tried firing an air bullet at the Orichalcum Slime from zero distance.
Clang*!
My deadly air bullet bounced off perfectly.
"It's not working..."
"Yeah……"
The Orichalcum Slime was jumping up and down, as if it thought I was playing with it.
"Shiro, go send that guy back to the mountain!"
"Eh! Me?"
"You're my servant, right?"
"That's true, but it's hot in that mountain."
"Of course it is."
Shiro doesn't seem to want to go back to that hot active volcano.
"Master, more importantly, this Orichalcum Slime seems to be attached to us, so why not make it a pet!"
Shiro is saying something crazy.
"Shiro... Do you know what you're saying?
It's a bundle of experience!
If it becomes attached to us as a pet, we won't be able to kill it!
Besides, orichalcum is very precious and very expensive!
If we can't kill it, we'll be at a huge loss!"
I explained the truth to Shiro.
"Indeed…….
However, if we have that precious Orichalcum Slime on hand, we can defeat it whenever we have the ability to defeat it!"
Shiro also replied with a reasonable argument.
"That may be true, but I can’t keep it as a pet after all!
A long time ago, I watched a movie called [School Days with a Pig] and was so sad that I cried!"
"I don't know what kind of story the [School Days with a Pig] is or what it's about, but...
Next time we come to this floor, there's no guarantee that we'll find this child!"
Shiro holds the Orichalcum Slime with round eyes and thrusts it at me.
Surely,
There's no guarantee that we'll be able to find another Orichalcum Slime.
If I let the Orichalcum Slime escape here, it is stupid if we can't find it next time.
Shiro may be right about this.
"It can't be helped... Orichalcum Slime is precious."
"What do you mean? Does that mean I can keep this child?"
Shiro stares at me with an expression full of expectations.
"Yeah, it will be foolish if we don’t find it the next time we come to this level."
I showed Shiro that I had the presence of mind and the dignity of a Master.
"Then, Master! Can I name this child?"
"No, you can't do that!
If you give it a name, you'll become attached to it and won't be able to kill it!"
After this, I made Shiro listen to the movie [School Days with a Pig] in detail.
