Reincarnation in Another World Starting from Bones ~The Bare Hero Rise from a Skeleton (WN): Chapter 110

Battleship

We are making a battleship together.

Well, I say we, but Mina is taking a nap on the wooden deck.

I'm cutting the wood for the battleship with my wind magic.

I had a lot of trouble deciding what kind of battleship to make, but I think it would be about the size of a small pirate ship.

Yes, it's about the size of *ne Piece's G*ing Merry.

At first, I thought of making it the size of a small fishing boat, but I thought it would easily sink if attacked by a large monster like a kraken.

If that's the case, we'll need a place with a fairly spacious deck where we can keep our feet on and fight properly.

In that case, I thought it would need to be at least as spacious as the G*ing Merry.

That's why I was chopping down trees as fast as I could.

Then, Shiro used the Ori Hime Plane to slowly sawn that tree into lumber.

Ori Hime Plane is made of orichalcum, so it is extremely sharp.

Ori Hime adjusts the height of the blade on its own, so even if you cut without thinking, you'll end up with perfect lumber.

After Shiro and I finished sawing the wood, we quickly assembled the ship.

The image of a battleship that I imagine is perfectly shared with Shiro, who can read everything in my head.

Apparently, Shiro can not only hear my inner voice, but also see.

This means that if I say I want to eat ramen, she can just search my brain and find out how to make ramen without having to explain everything!

 Super convenient!

That's what I thought, and for some reason, Shiro was looking embarrassed next to me.

For Shiro, being of use to me is the ultimate joy.

So, I quickly put together a battleship with my handy maid, Shiro

As expected from the Arachne, Shiro is incredibly skilled with her hands.

In Greek mythology, Arachne was said to be a master weaver who surpassed even the gods.

I only helped a little, and Shiro assembled the hull of the battleship mostly by herself.

The next step is to coat the ship's body with mithril.

This coating would prevent the ship from sinking even if it was hit by a sea monster.

The coating method is simple. All you have to do is coat it with the carcass of a mithril slime that we have in stock.

Mithril plates, which would normally be difficult to process, had to be welded to fit the ship's curvature, making it quite a difficult task.

Well, actually, it's quite easy since there's no welding involved, but our battleship is quite large, so it's quite a hassle.

I even want to borrow a cat's hand.

I look at Mina, who is sunbathing on the wooden deck.

However, Mina didn't care and was yawning loudly.

 Yep. Mina is Mina.

If you have high expectations, you'll get irritated, so think of it as someone who isn't there.

 Well, it's not a person, it's a cat.

Once the hull was coated with mithril, the next step was to create the power part.

For power, it uses a magic tool that creates wind.

It's a magical tool created by the extremely skillful Shiro, inspired by the hovercraft from my memories of Earth.

Shiro started with weaving, then went on to create clothes, curtains, cooking, cleaning, building a house and furniture, weapons and armor, and finally even magic tools.

As expected, the Arachne is able to create things that surpass even the gods.

With a click, Shiro attached a magic tool that generates wind to the stern of the ship, and our battleship was finally completed.

"Master! The battleship has been completed just as you imagined it, Master!

Now I just need to play with the interior space a bit to make it more livable!"

For me, that's enough, but Shiro, who is very particular about craftsmanship, wants the interior to be perfect.

"Well, wouldn’t it be a good idea to do the interior of the ship while it’s sailing?

Instead, let's float it on the lake and see what it looks like!"

Rather than the interior, I want to see what it's like to ride on a battleship as soon as possible.

Boys always dream of being pirates.

I want to play pirate as soon as possible.

"I will become the Pirate King!"

I'm feeling it, it's like *ne Piece

In reality, my battleship is a hovercraft that doesn't need a sail, but I'm so drawn to a pirate ship that I end up attaching a useless sail.

Of course, I asked Shiro to draw a skull mark on the sail.

Apparently, Shiro drew a faithful reproduction of my skull, and the only flaw is that it feels too vivid.

Of course, the skull is also gold.

Well, putting that aside, let's get into the water right away.

Wind blows out from two donut-shaped magic tools attached to the stern.

Earth's hovercraft have wings like fans on their power parts, but our battleships don't have wings.

Yes, it was designed to look like a D*son's fan.

Perhaps because of this, ordinary hovercrafts are quite noisy, but our battleship is silent.

By the way, if you reverse the donut-shaped magic tool and apply it to the sail, you can make it move like a normal sailing ship.

"Good! Shiro, launch the ship!"

"Aye! Captain!"

Shiro responds in a cheerful manner as well as me.

When Shiro operated the donut-shaped magic tool, a gust of wind blew out and the Battleship began running on the ground.

The bottom of the ship is coated with mithril, so it won't be damaged and will just gouge the ground as usual.

It looks like it will be difficult to level the ground later...

 Splash*!

The battleship safely entered the water without sinking.

And then it starts moving forward at a tremendous speed.

 Then,

"Not good!"

The sail was hit by the headwind so hard that the bow lifted and the ship did a wheelie.

"Ori Hime! Fold the sails immediately!"

"Kyui!"

When Ori Hime folds the sail, the floating hull returns to its original position.

This means that when traveling at full speed, the boat will not sink unless the sails are folded.

But then, the pirate flag would be.......

"Master. Would you like to apply the wind from the magic tool to the sail?"

"That's it!"

As expected, Shiro is very smart.

When I weaken the wind of the magic tool and apply it to the sail, the battleship moves forward at a moderate speed, although it cannot reach the speed of a hovercraft.

 Isn't this surprisingly good?

When we're in a hurry, we can use it as a hovercraft, and normally we can use it as a sailing ship.

"Now, the battleship is ready.

All we have to do is conquer the 35th level with this cool battleship!"

And so our pirate life began.
