Everyday Life Before You Know It
When I woke up, it was night.
It was already dark outside the window, and the moonlight was shining in.
I was suddenly surrounded by a soft sensation.
I remember this feeling. It's Lida's chest.
Lida noticed that I had woken up and hugged me. My face is buried in her rich breasts... it's painful...
"Seriously... you're so unreasonable... everyone was worried."
While saying that, she finally let go of me and patted my head. Her expression was a troubled one, but she was smiling.
"I... I lost..."
"Of course. Who do you think you're dealing with? Even that one is an A-rank adventurer, and you're not ready for that yet, Light-kun."
Lida said, sounding a little angry.
I understand. After all, I saw it with [God's Eyes]. The way that old man fought... that's why I wanted his power.
I can steal skills. However, just because I stole it doesn't mean I can use it. In fact, the old man's skill [Advanced Sword Art] has been copied. It takes experience and knowledge to use it. I've experienced that before, as much as I hate to say it.
For me, [acquiring power] means actually experiencing it. That is why I wanted to fight the old man.
What I realized when I actually fought the old man was that he was a monster. Mastering just one skill... The process and results of getting there, as well as the feeling he gained from fighting, make his monster-like nature stand out.
I may have some cheats, but I'm not a monster.
I have a myriad of skills and I grow fast. Because I am a [Demon King], my mana is infinite, and because I have [recovery magic], my stamina is infinite, and as long as I do not die instantly or faint, my wounds heal immediately.
However...... it will probably be [just that] from my point of view. I witnessed the power that made me feel that way.
Perhaps because I remained silent and made a difficult face, Lida hugged me again and patted my head. Ever since I met her, she's been hugging me and patting me on the head. It was almost as if it was a habit.
"I heard it from everyone. I know you were angry for my sake. I was horrified to see Light-kun so battered and bruised...... but I was honestly glad when I thought it was for my sake......."
Lida said a little apologetically.
"It's not cool that I took the liberty of worrying about you and losing. I'm sorry, Lida."
"No one thinks it's uncool. And I know you were thinking about me enough to get mad. Thank you."
She said that and kissed me on the cheek.
I couldn't help but stare at Lida. Jade-colored eyes illuminated by the moonlight, light green short hair with a slightly curly look, and a well-shaped face typical of an elf...
I couldn't help but fall in love with it.
Lida, who was hugging me, suddenly pulled away. Her face turned red and she looked down to avoid my gaze.
"No... it's still too early for Light-kun. I can't let you look at me like that. Please at least hold out for two more years."
Is Lida misunderstanding something? Did I look like I wanted it?
"Besides, it's already late, so go to sleep. I'll go back to Rain-chan's room too."
"Eh? Ah, yeah. Good night."
I replied a little agitated.
"Good night."
After saying that, Lida left my room.
In the morning, after waking up and completing my daily routine, it was time for breakfast.
I was lectured by Maria and Rain, for the first time when we became family I think, and they were more worried than angry.
"Onii-sama... are you going to see that old man?"
"Yeah. I promised him that I would make the old man's sword. I have to meet him and listen to his various requests."
"Light-kun, you're really serious. You shouldn't do something like that."
Lida seems to hate that old man after all.
"I'm sorry, Rain. I can't take you with me because I'm going to meet that old man. Please spend the time with Lida."
"Yes, of course. It's been a while since I've been pampered by Lida Onee-sama."
After saying that, Rain hugged Lida.
"Jeez. Rain. We're eating, so be a little more polite. Lida-san will be in trouble."
"It's okay, Maria-san. It's soothing to pamper Rain-chan."
Lida said as she stroked Rain's head.
I was healed by that sight.
I realized that living with the people I love is the happiest moment for me.
