Graduation from the Academy and a New Daily Life
Rain and I were at the academy's graduation ceremony.
In the end, I wasn't able to acquire [Advanced Magic] during this school life, but Rain was able to acquire [Advanced magic] before me.
For the first time in a while, I couldn't help but feel that it was the [Hero] cheat.
"It's okay. Even after you graduate from the academy, I'm still here, so you just need to keep practicing."
Strea-san said.
Somehow, I feel like I spent my time at this school more as a teacher than as a student. Although I entered the school to learn, I only improved in craftsmanship and vocational skills, and my combat skills such as swordsmanship and magic did not improve that much.
However, learning is not the only thing I gained by enrolling in the school.
I've spent time with Fran here and we've come to love each other, and I've also made the acquaintance of a senior Demon King named Strea.
If I hadn't come to the royal capital, I wouldn't have gotten to know Shamu, Silk, and the Succubus, and if there hadn't been a commotion involving Fran, I wouldn't have had anything to do with the Queen and the Crown Prince.
I learned a little, but I was able to meet a lot of people. That may be a great accomplishment.
The graduation ceremony ended with these thoughts in mind.
Rain and I didn't have much feelings for our juniors, but when we left the school gate after the graduation ceremony, the commoners and demi-human children who we had taken care of in various ways saw us off.
Although we were a little surprised by that, we waved at them and left the academy.
Since I had received Fran's diploma from Strea-san, I thought I would teleport quickly and go home, but in order to say goodbye to this royal capital where I had spent three years, we decided to take a short detour to the branch office.
When I walk around the capital with Rain, I remember the date we went on. Rain seemed to feel the same way, and unusually she held my hand.
I still hear people talking about the [Nameless Demon King] around town, but I find it embarrassing and unbearable. People in the royal capital probably have no idea, but the Demon King in question is walking and holding hands with a cute girl right now, and no one would think that the person he is holding hands with is a hero.
When we returned to the branch, Ayako was standing there.
"You have returned, Light-dono?"
"Yeah. I just came back from a short detour... what's wrong?"
"Light-dono, please let me serve Fran Ojou-sama! Please!"
Saying that, Ayako bowed her head vigorously.
Apparently, Ayako asked Fran's mother, the Duchess, to quit her job and come here.
Naturally, she wasn't wearing her usual light armor today.
"Um… that’s fine, but…"
Ayako looked up and looked happy.
"Really! Thank you very much!"
To be honest, I'm a little worried about Ayako joining us. After all, when Fran and I visited the duke's house, Ayako was releasing murderous intent towards me.
I don't think so, but I'm half-convinced that she's going to try to get in the way of our relationship.
There's another problem. It's about Sylvie. Although she has a different personality, she is someone who has been harsh on Fran in various ways. I wonder if Ayako will be able to accept that...
Feeling a little anxious about the new life that was about to begin, I teleported to my house in the frontier territory.
The story goes back to last winter.
My home in RockQueen, the adventurer's town in the frontier territory, had reached its limits.
At first, there were just me, Rain, and Maria (at that time, Ginko was still in the doghouse outside), but the number grew to include Lida, Ginko, and Fran.
And when Sylvie was added to the mix, I had no choice but to set up a new home in the dungeon.
The existing first floor was moved down, a new floor was created, and a mansion-style house was built there. The references are the mansions of dukes and aristocrats.
The entrance to the dungeon was also made to lead directly to the front door of the house. In other words, when you open the front door of the house, you will be immediately connected to the dungeon mansion.
The interior of the mansion is designed to have more rooms, one room for each person, and extra rooms for more people, and because it is a dungeon, it is easy to reconstruct and renovate.
I built a large garden outside the mansion, and I also built my own work shed away from the garden.
The current structure of the dungeon is as follows.
The first floor is our living quarters, the second floor is the dark elf village, the third floor is a private beach and fishing ground, the fourth floor is an ore production area, and the fifth floor is a training ground.
This was built before we welcomed Sylvie
It was around the end of last year that I went to pick up Sylvie.
After all, what can I say...
Sylvie didn't go so far as to be a cripple, but she was quite mentally ill, so she didn't show any reaction to me or Fran.
The people in the capital knew about Sylvie's situation, so I explained it to Maria, Lida, and Ginko.
Maria was especially worried about Sylvie. She probably had a past where she was played with by a man, so she compared her own past with Sylvie's. Ever since Sylvie came, she has been doing her best to take care of Sylvie.
Back to the topic.
Ayako has joined our family, who has turned their home into the entrance to a dungeon and is taking care of Sylvie.
I'm starting a new life with various problems, but if possible, my wish is to live a slow life with my family...
I wonder how it will turn out......
