Everyday Life without Fran
I lived my normal life for the rest of the year.
Strea-san's lessons are held three times a week. I still haven't reached my goal of [Advanced Magic]. I had already reached the [Intermediate Magic], but I was not able to get over the barrier to the advanced level.
"Light-kun, you have unconsciously changed all your mana into light attribute. This is probably the barrier to reaching the advanced level. For now, let's focus on practicing changing your mana into other attributes."
So, after receiving advice from Strea-san, I am practicing to control the transformation of my own mana.
I have already achieved a skill level in all the classes at the academy except Strea-san's class. So now it's like I'm in charge of the class instead of taking the class.
Outside of school, when training covert skills with Silk, I almost completely mastered all the skills, so it's practically just a date with Silk.
Well... Silk is a serious person, so I thought she would probably continue to work if I didn't give her a break.
My dates with Silk are almost always in the middle of the night under a starry sky. I would like to have a date with her in the sunlight this time.
Other than classes and training, the days were mostly unchanged, working on making potions and weapons to be distributed to the branch. Normally, this is a daily life where nothing changes.
However, Fran was always in the back of my mind.
A few days after returning from the [Demon Forest], we were having tea at a cafe and were told that the queen's education had begun. What she talked about beforehand was about the first prince's condition.
Things don't seem to be going well, and there seems to be a move to have Ains, the second prince, take on the duties of the crown prince. For this reason, it seems that the queen hastened her education so that she could manage to get his fiancé, Fran, to assist her.
Basically, she was hoping for a role as a stopper for Ains. In addition to that, I seem to think that she can protect Fran as long as she is within the queen's sight.
I felt uneasy and worried when I heard that, but seeing her expression of strong determination, I had no choice but to nod.
At school, Fran seems to be busy taking care of the juniors and working on the student council, so we don't have many opportunities to see each other. Even when we met face to face, there were many times when we only briefly waved each other's hands.
I lived a normal life and passed the year with a feeling of loneliness.
After getting older, the world around me suddenly changed.
The number of noble juniors that I had been hanging out with had decreased. The reason is unfounded rumors about me.
Somehow, false rumors are being spread that I preyed on the girl who confessed to me and made her cry, and that I touched her body under the guise of guidance.
I denied it at first, but I don't have any problem with the number of noble juniors decreasing, and even if rumors were spread, there were commoners and demi-human juniors who adored me, so I stopped paying attention to the rumors.
However, in the end, some students started coming forward as victims, and I couldn't bear to go there and explain to them that I had an alibi...
Even the teachers were left wondering what was going on due to the extremely incoherent testimony of the victims and the number of students trying to prove my alibi.
After such a troublesome day, the new semester started, and a few days after moving up to the third year...
A loud voice echoed through the school building along with the sound of glass breaking.
"The demons attacked us!! Don't let them escape!"
