Reincarnation in Another World Starting from Bones ~The Bare Hero Rise from a Skeleton (WN): Chapter 13

Cabin

As expected, I ran out of MP.

I couldn't get up to level 4 with just one iron slime.

I had no choice but to explore the 22nd level while my MP recovered.

To put it bluntly, the 22nd level is no different from above ground.

There are a lot of slimes, but the weaker slimes won't attack me, and the stronger slimes will run away quickly, so it seems like I'll be able to live comfortably here.

I explore various places and find a quiet flat area by the lake.

The mountain range rises in the background, and the scenery is spectacular.

"I want to build a house here."

I can't help but say it.

 Or rather, let's build it.

Fortunately, I once helped build a house when I was an adventurer.

I can't build a great house, but I should be able to build a cabin that can protect me from the rain and wind.

There's nothing to do until my MP recovers, and it's a great way to kill time.

 First, the foundation.

I immediately go hunting for the so-called sticky slime that holds the cement.

Since I'm a Lich, my main attack is magic attacks, but I can't afford to waste MP, so I have to defeat the sticky slimes with my sword.

Well, the sticky slimes aren't that strong, so it's okay, but I'll have to defeat quite a few.

I probably need 200 to build the foundation.

I moved to the sticky slime's home and started fighting with it.

Sticky slime shoots out sticky objects.

As long as I avoid that, it doesn't matter.

I basically attack while flying, so even if I hit a sticky object, I just need to run away.

It's a troublesome monster for humans who can only walk on the ground, but for me, it can be said to be a good customer.

I use the sword skills I trained during my time as an adventurer to defeat sticky slimes one after another.

"Was sticky slime really that weak?"

Currently, I can levitate in the air, so I can perform three-dimensional attacks.

Maybe that's why I feel like my sword skills have improved since my days as an adventurer.

As I was doing this, my MP started to recover.

I put an end to sticky slime hunting and set out for my original purpose: iron slime hunting.

If I could defeat iron slimes with a sword, I wouldn't have to go through all this trouble, but iron slimes repel sword attacks, so I have no choice but to defeat them with magic attacks.

Subjugating the iron slime is also a good way to practice applying magic to fast monsters, so if I think about it that way, it's a bit more rewarding.

Anyway, I defeated two iron slimes and succeeded in leveling up to Lv.4.

However, I ran out of MP again, so I headed out to hunt sticky slime.

Basically, ever since I became a skeleton, I don't become sleepy except when I evolve or when I run out of MP, so I can continue to alternately defeat iron slimes and sticky slimes nonstop.

Also, this is something I noticed when I came to the 22nd level, but when I do activities in the middle of the night, I get very energetic.

After all, monsters with the dark attribute may like the darkness.

The 21st level, where there were only dead spirits, was always in high spirits, probably because it was a dark, decaying mausoleum area, but on the 22nd level, where the day changes, for some reason I feel that the magic is not as sharp in the morning and afternoon.

While I was thinking about this while hunting for sticky slime, my 30 kg magic bag became full.

For now, I return to the lakeside flatland that I plan to use as my base.

Then, I took out all the sticky slime from my magic bag and headed out to hunt sticky slime again.

After living like that for about two weeks, I rose to Lv.10.

 Here are my stats.

 Race: Unique Lich lv.10

 Occupation: Hero

Titles: Immortal, The Man Who Remembered Too Late, A Hero Despite Being a Bone, Man Without Luck, A Bone Who Has Mastered Yin-Yang.

 Skills: Super Concealment, Immortality, Appraisal

Magic: 1st rank light attribute magic. 1st rank fire attribute magic. 1st rank dark attribute magic. 1st rank wind attribute magic.

 Strength 25

 Luck 30

 HP 100

 MP 250

"Good! It's just as I thought. Wind attribute magic became available."

The Lich I saw on the 21st level used a lot of wind attribute magic, so I thought I would definitely be able to learn it.

I immediately returned to my base by the lake and used the 1st level wind magic, Wind Cutter in the nearby forest.

 Slash*, slash*, slash*ー!

The tree in front of me was cut into even pieces.

"Okay! That looks good!"

I was in high spirits as I continued to cut the wood.

I'm cutting the wood for the frame to pour the cement for the foundation, and the wood for the cabin.

The wood for the cabin needs to dry out a bit, so I cut off just the branches and left them lying around.

Well, the foundation frame will be used right away, so there's probably no need to dry it.

Then, I returned to the foundation where I planned to build the cabin and drew the blueprint of the cabin on the ground.

"This is the entrance, this is the living room, and I need a bathroom.

I don't know why I'm not pooping right now, but I'm sure I will when I get some flesh on my body!"

I said to myself as I worked on the drawing.

"It's done! An eight-bedroom, one-story house with an island kitchen!"

I had intended to build a small cabin, but as I was drawing the blueprints, I got excited and by the time I realized it, I had ended up with a ridiculously large one-story building.

It might have something to do with the fact that I was drawing it in the middle of the night.

"I think it was too big....... Well, I don't know whose land it is, but there's plenty to spare!"

 I convinced myself.

However, there was no way I could have known at the time that this casual decision would cause so much trouble later on.
