Light's Dungeon
Lida's arrival this year was delayed.
A month had passed while I was busy creating the dungeon. Rain was looking forward to Lida's arrival, but on the other hand, I wanted her to arrive a little later.
When Lida visited, spring was ending and the rainy season was about to begin. When I asked her why, she said that McQueen-san had taken up his time in a business meeting with a ducal family in the south.
The daughter of a southern ducal family will be entering the academy next year, so they returned to the Republic once to provide her with daily necessities and miscellaneous goods to be used in her life at the academy.
"That must have been difficult. Thank you for your hard work."
I thanked Lida for her efforts. Lida looked at me reproachfully.
"That's right. This past year has been tough for me. Light has made my body unable to live without you! This past year has been hard for me to endure!"
Lida's eyes scare me...... Those are the eyes of a predator......
I decided to introduce something to mislead her.
"W-well... I've prepared something good for such a tired Lida. Also, I wanted to show it to Maria and Rain. Everyone, follow me."
I took the three of them and entered my bedroom. Then Lida...
"Ara. Are we doing it already?"
Wrong. Wait. Calm down. I know you've been holding out for a year, but......
"No, that's not it. That one."
I pointed to the dungeon door.
"What is that? Is it a magic tool or something?"
"That's the dungeon door. Beyond that is the dungeon I created."
The moment Lida heard it, she was speechless. Maria and Rain had the same expressions on their faces.
"As expected. I thought it was a mysterious door, but..."
"Onii-sama, in that case, wouldn’t it have been a good idea for you to invite me? Onii-sama is the only one doing something that looks like fun!"
"Well, well. Either way, as the Demon King, I'm the only one who can create a dungeon, so even if Rain is here, you can't do anything."
Rain glares at me with an annoyed expression at my words, but for now, I want to move on.
"I've built a lot of things in this dungeon to help everyone, so let's go in for now."
"Hey? Light. If this is a dungeon, isn't it dangerous?"
Lida asked a little anxiously, so I answered simply.
"Ah. If it's a monster, it won't appear. It's set up that way."
With that said, I pulled Lida's hand.
"Come on! Let's go. Maria and Rain follow me!"
I couldn't wait anymore, so I opened the door and invited the three of them in.
The first floor of the dungeon is a four-and-a-half tatami Japanese-style room.
This place resembles the room where I met Evil God-san. The difference is that the glass windows are connected to the outside, so it's brighter now. Since Evil God-san's room had constant sunlight, this room looked a little different.
"It's an unusual room, isn't it? Is it something unique to dungeons?"
Maria tilts her head as she looks around, so I explain.
"Well, I guess that's how it is. For the time being, it's like my rest room, so don't worry about this room. Also, in this room, can you take off your shoes? I will ask you to put them on at the next door, but only take them off when you are in this room."
The three of them listened to my explanation and took off their shoes. Everyone was barefoot... they looked strangely glamorous... no, it's still early.
"It's a strange feeling. But it feels good."
Lida seemed to like the feel of the tatami. I wonder if elves feel calmer when they touch things made from nature? Should I recommend it to the Dark Elves next time?
"Onii-sama! It's not this that you're going to show us, right! What do you want to show us!"
I guess Rain can't contain her excitement about my dungeon. She is having fun.
"Okay, okay. Calm down. I'm sorry, but once you open the door, please put your shoes back on."
Then, a separately built door opens, leading to the second floor. I really wanted to put them all in one door, but I gave up because it was too complicated to set up multiple things. Yeah. I'll have to work on it in the future.
Beyond the door is a forest. But what's important is beyond that.
As the four of us walked through the forest, Lida seemed to notice the smell.
"Hey... Light. No way..."
Before she could say anything, the moment we stepped out of the forest. It spreads.
It's the sea.
White sandy beaches, sparkling sea. The shining sun.
I created a paradise in the dungeon.
