The Demon King Called Cyceria
[I'm Cyceria. Today, God gave me the power to create the world that I wanted. But it's not what I thought it would be. God told me, [Only God can use that power]. God says, [From now on, I will give you this as a special gift because you will be the new Demon King]. He gave me this.]
A dungeon-related book was added to the bookshelf in my head, created using the [Sage] skill. One of the books was, to my surprise, Cyceria-san's memoirs.
Apparently, Cyceria-san uses this core as a notebook? A diary? The last part was written like a strategy book, but it looks like it was used as a notepad.
Cyceria-san...... you should take good care of God's gift......
Well... it seems like she noticed it midway through, but she didn't want to erase what she had written down so far, so she left it as is.
It seems like Cyceria-san is a woman. Since the opening line was written as [boku] I guess it's definitely a boy. I thought so, but from the middle to the second half, it was written as [watashi].
There is also a record that she got married and had a child.
However, it seems that her husband became unable to keep up with her hobby of creating dungeons and got divorced. She must have been ill, as her writing in that part was rather rough.
The first half of the description of the dungeon creation was childlike, [I had fun creating and playing with it]. Eventually, it became more like a memo in which she wrote down her ideas, and then wrote about how she was happy and sad at the results of the experiments she had conducted.
In the middle part of the book, she starts making dungeons in earnest and writes about her various travels to find materials for dungeon cores and to select dungeon-building sites.
It seems that the main material for the dungeon core is dragon magic stone. Moreover, in order to create something better, it seems that more than one is required, and she has apparently visited the [Fire Dragon Mountain] in the northern mountain range many times. There was an interesting sentence in the description.
[The Fire Dragon King is always generous, but it's from the Fire Dragon King's child, right? Is it okay?"
Who is the Fire Dragon King? Is it a dragon? Maybe it is the main one, since it is the same as the name of the mountain range? Did she get the magic stone of that dragon's child? Maybe Cyceria-san is a pretty bad person.
A memoir? The second half is mainly about how dungeons can be useful to society. It is written that the war between humans and demons became worse around this time, and it seems that she started to build a 100-level dungeon called [Paradise Labyrinth] to save those who were suffering from the war.
However, the labyrinth gradually begins to be attacked by both humans and demons, and the description ends with her shock that the labyrinth became a monster, far from paradise, as a result of the increased defense capability.
The handwritten map states that the location of the [Paradise Labyrinth] is around the current Empire. In other words, it seems that the dungeon currently under the Empire's control, [Labyrinth of the Abyss], is the dungeon.
It has 100 floors. It seems that only up to the 67th floor has been conquered yet. Is this the dungeon that is Cyceria-san's final and masterpiece... I'm intrigued.
When I finished reading most of the memoir and was taking a breather, Maria knocked on my door to tell me that dinner was ready. Then, at the dinner table, I told Rain something.
"Hey, Rain. Is it okay to finish exploring the forest now? There are two days left, but we've conquered the dungeon and met the dark elves, so we've had enough adventures, right?"
Rain thought for a moment and nodded. It's not polite to think with a spoon in your mouth, you know.
"Well, the dungeon wasn't what I expected, but I had fun meeting the dark elves, so I'm okay with ending it."
"Then tomorrow, let's report to the Adventurer's Guild and finish things off. After that, I have something I want to do, so leave me be, okay? I want to concentrate."
"Are you going to do it by yourself, Onii-sama? I can help you."
Saying that, Rain made a ring with her right hand in front of her mouth and moved it up and down.
"I didn't mean it like that. Rain... why don't you be a little more ladylike? Your brother is sad..."
I got a headache and started to really think about redoing Rain's ladylike education.
Is there anyone out there......
