Fran Side: Friend's Secret
"You seem to be in a good mood lately. Did something good happen at the academy?"
On my way home from the academy, Ayako, my personal knight who always drops me off and picks me up, asked me this question.
"Yes. I also made some friends at school."
I was happy and answered Ayako. Ayako also smiled at my answer as if it were her own.
"Good to hear it. So, who is your friend?"
"You know that someone too. Fufu."
I laughed as I remembered the two siblings I had become friends with. Ayako tilts her head when she hears that she knows them.
"It's Rain-san and Light-san."
Ayako looks a little sour at that answer.
"Were those two enrolled in the academy?"
"Yes. Apparently, they are attending the academy because they want to learn [Advanced Magic]."
"I think those two are more than capable of using the sword and magic even without [Advanced Magic]..."
"It's true that they were at the top at the academy, and they lamented that they had little to learn.''
"On top of that, they want to learn [Advanced Magic]... I wonder what they're aiming for...''
"I wonder...? I've only known them for a couple of months, but I'm sure they're enjoying the process of mastering..."
It's only been a few months since we met, but as we talked, I got the feeling that the two of them were enjoying learning and devoting themselves to something.
Ayako fell silent in response to my answer.
"As expected, he does resemble that man..."
I heard Ayako whispering that, and I somehow understood that Ayako was seeing someone else from Light-san. That's probably why she can't accept Light-san.
"Ayako... the reason you can't accept Light-san is because you see someone else in him. Light-san is Light-san. It would be rude if you didn't look at him properly."
I tried to advise Ayako, but she remained silent for a while.
Those two are strange people.
Their manners and gestures are as beautiful as those of nobles, but they lack the pretentiousness of nobles. Although they are adventurers, they are neither rude nor arrogant. They are serious about their studies, but there are times when they seem to actually enjoy learning.
They may not be good at socializing, and they sometimes look a little troubled when they are approached and respond to various requests. However, when they spend time with me, they smile at me with a reassuring expression.
The stories they both tell me are always things I don't know, and they always keep me entertained. Stories about facing goblins as an adventurer, stories about finding a dungeon deep in the forest, and stories about being disappointed that it wasn't a dungeon...
A brother and sister who all have fun and funny stories. The time I spend with these two people is so much fun now, and it heals my heart.
Even in the mansion in the capital, the distance I feel from the servants makes me sad, and if I were at the academy, I would have to stay close to Ains-sama...
To be honest, there is no place for me to relax, neither the mansion nor the academy...
However, being around those siblings has become a very relaxing place for me.
Light-san, who always treats me like a gentleman, and Rain-san, who always greets me with a carefree smile...
Yeah... I'm glad I met these two. That's what I think now.
However... actually, I have some concerns about this brother and sister.
That was still on the road before the attack...
When I stepped into the bush to relieve myself at night, I saw two people in the depths of the forest...
That brother and sister exchanged such a passionate embrace... and then Rain-san kissed him hungrily...
No... anything beyond this is someone else's secret after all... but...
I remembered what I had seen and couldn't help but blush. Ayako next to me looked at me suspiciously because I suddenly blushed, but I managed to fool her.
Is the relationship between those two really that of brother and sister... I don't have the courage to ask that question.
But... I'm curious.

ReplyDeleteAs expected, the wannabe knight is still a piece of trash. He's not your shitty dad, he's nothing like your shitty dad, get over it. Like I thought, Light should beat her up at least once.
