Departure Report 1
It's been a month since I announced my decision.
I went around to all the various places to tell them of my departure from the Baron Territory.
First up is Grandpa Malberk in the Knight Order.
At first, I was unsure whether to tell Grandpa Malberk. He cared for me, and was also my sword master who showed me the way of swordsmanship.
Besides, he was willing to adopt me as his son and make me succeed him as the Knight Commander if I wanted.
Next to Sebas and Grandma Fel, he has a strong attachment to me because he knows of my unfavorable situation in the Baron family.
Therefore, there was a possibility that he might hold me back, or at worst, confront the Baron family. That's why I was torn.
However, Grandpa Malberk's answer was unexpectedly just [I see...]. He had a sad expression on his face, but he seemed to have swallowed up the things he wanted to say and his thoughts.
Next was the Adventurer's Guild.
Unlike usual, when I told the receptionist that I wanted to talk with the Guild master, she looked at me strangely, but she guided me.
When I explained the situation to the Guild master and told him of my departure, he looked disappointed.
"Since you came, our guild has become very lively. The adventurers are less worried about injuries and illnesses, and are now able to actively hunt in the Demon Forest. Seeing you training seriously. The adventurers followed in your footsteps and no longer neglected their training. Although they are centered around you, the adventurers have a sense of unity. That is how much you have contributed to the Adventurer's Guild. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you."
After saying that, the Guild master bowed his head.
The Guild master looked up and continued speaking with a wry smile.
"Well, that's too bad. I really wanted you to become an adventurer from our guild. In fact, I am planning to issue you an adventurer's card from the guild on your tenth birthday. Normally, you have to be 12 years old, but your abilities are already good enough to be C rank. Beatrice has already acknowledged that. I've been discussing with the headquarters to see if a special exception can be granted. But... you're right, you're in the care of the Baron family. If I registered you as an adventurer, it would be tracked back... I was a little careless too."
The Guild master muttered with a sigh.
"My head aches at the thought of losing you......."
Apparently, he was thinking about what would happen after I was gone.
"It's difficult to maintain something once it's built up. The beauty of my skill is to somehow manage to keep it calm."
The Guild master said cheerfully.
After he calmed down a bit, I made a request to the Guild master.
"Guild master. I'm sorry, but is there any way to get in touch with Lida-sensei?"
The Guild master stared at me curiously and then began to think a little.
"Lida... Ah! The female half-elf mage from the Republic. You can use the guild's contact network. If you are in a hurry, you can use the communication magic tool installed in the guild to get in touch with her immediately, albeit by word of mouth."
"It is not urgent, so could you please make sure that this letter is delivered?"
Saying that, I present the letter I prepared to the Guild master.
"I understand. I will send it with the guild's regular mail. I'll take care of this."
I left the Adventurer's Guild feeling relieved that my request had been heard.
Next was the Alchemy Guild.
I don't feel like they are my mentors. They were more like colleagues and friends.
I was only taught for the first year, and then I worked with them making magic stone and magic steel.
When I have time, I talk about researching magic tools using magic stones and applying alchemy...
They're interested in how I channel my mana, and they're learning from me to raise their skill level...
How to say it, it was like we were friends who worked hard and shared the same work.
That's why it's strange that parting with them feels a little different than other guilds.
When I told them that I was going to travel and become an adventurer, I was asked.
"Will you continue alchemy even if you become an adventurer?"
I nodded in response to that question.
"I will continue. Alchemy is a technique that has endless possibilities. I will master it. Also, I can search for materials that only adventurers can obtain. And I will show you the depths of alchemy before you do."
I answered with a smile.
"Hahaha. You're a cocky junior. If that's the case, we can't lose either!"
Everyone laughed at that.
A junior... that sounds like a nice way of putting it.
That's a good description of my connection with them.
"I'm leaving on my journey, but let's keep working hard! Senpai!"
When I said that, the alchemists smiled and nodded.
