First Medical Examination
For the first time, I was offered a job as an apothecary.
For the past year, Grandma Suzuka has been imparting her knowledge as an apothecary to me, and recently I have been entrusted with mixing medicines and making potions.
However, this is the first time I have been entrusted with medical examinations and prescriptions.
Up until now, all I had been doing was following Grandma Suzuka around and observing how Grandma Suzuka was doing her medical examinations, then returning home and having a question-and-answer session with Grandma Suzuka.
To be honest, I'm nervous.
But Grandma Suzuka trusted me and entrusted me with this medical examination.
I want to meet her expectations and help the woman who was suffering from an illness.
I asked Mohawk who just came to pick up the potion to pass it on to the Adventurer's Guild.
Mohawk smiled and said, [Leave it to me! Do your best in the examination, Aniki!]
The departure was set for tomorrow morning.
The man from the pioneer village urged me to leave, but I decided to leave tomorrow because I had preparations to do and, more importantly, to let the man rest after riding so far without a break.
For the time being, I persuaded the man to stay at the annex, which is to say my house.
Then we departed as planned.
I was accompanied by Sebas and Ginko.
Well, Ginko comes with me all the time, but since she spends most of her time sleeping, I don't really feel like she's accompanying me.
Even now, she is sleeping in the carriage with her head on my lap.
She was the size of a medium-sized dog and seemed quite big to me as a 5-year-old, but now that I had grown up, she doesn't seem that big.
Outside the carriage, a man from the pioneer village was riding alongside us on a horse. Yesterday, I told him that I was going to the pioneer village without a break to convince him, so we would probably arrive there a little after sunset this time.
And thanks to the constant running of the carriage, we arrived on schedule.
The man had preceded us on the way to inform them that I was on my way, so I arrived at the village and was immediately greeted by the village chief.
"I've been waiting for you. It seems like you came in a hurry. Would you like to rest a little before your examination?"
The village chief asked me that because he was worried about me.
"No, let's hurry. The person who brought me here also seemed to be in a hurry."
The village chief glanced at the man who had brought me here, then turned to me and answered.
"The village people are being rude to you. Then I'll take you right away."
Saying that, the village chief guided me to the village chief's house.
He told me that the sick woman lived alone with her daughter, and that he had brought her to the chief's house because he was worried that she could not take care of her daughter alone.
It seems that the woman is currently resting in the guest room on the second floor of the village chief's house. Apparently, her daughter is also in the guest room.
I knocked on the room, but there was no answer.
After receiving permission from the village chief, I went inside and found a girl sleeping with her head on the bed while sitting on a chair.
"It seems she was so tired that she fell asleep."
Saying that, the village chief woke the girl up.
"The doctor is here. You can rest now. If you're tired, you can rest on the sofa over there."
Saying so kindly, the village chief called out.
"Doctor... is it true?"
The girl looked around while rubbing her sleepy eyes and looked at me.
The girl must be about the same age as me.
She had blonde hair in twin-tails and indigo eyes.
There was a girl there who looked more beautiful than cute.
However, her beautiful face was dark, and her eyes were bright red, probably from crying.
"Is this child the doctor?"
The girl looked at me anxiously and asked the village chief.
"Yeah, that's right. This person is Light-sama and is an amazing person who can use [Recovery Magic]. We don't want to interfere with the examination, so let's go downstairs."
The village chief tried to take the girl out, but she refused.
"No, I'm staying here. I don't want to leave Mother's side!"
The village chief looked at me, so I nodded in response.
"It's fine. I don't mind. I'd rather examine the patient now."
Saying that, I went to it...
I looked at the girl's mother with the [God's Eye].
Uwaa... uu... aah...
This is... a little bit...
For the first time since I came to this world, I felt like I had seen something I didn't want to see...
And then I looked at the girl with [God's Eye]......
The girl's shoulders suddenly trembled a little when I looked at her.
When I looked at the girl, I wanted to hold my head...
What should I do...
This girl... no, she...
Is a [Hero]......
Tftc.
