The Truth About Goblin Slayer
We are fed up now...
In front of us is a pile of dead goblins. We have to get the magic stones now......
I'm sick of doing it already......
Rain's eyes are dead. She doesn't have an expression on her face, and the way she skillfully and silently strips the magic stones from the goblins makes me feel crazy.
Maybe I have a similar expression.
It was good in the beginning.
It was refreshing to go into the forest with just the two of us and one familiar, and we could hunt monsters as much as we wanted. Riding around the forest on Ginko's back was fun, like a roller coaster, and if we got hungry, we could use [Transfer Magic] to go home and eat dinner with Maria.
I think I was pretty excited at that time.
However, cleaning up afterward is still annoying.
We hunt goblins from one end to the other and store them with [Spatial Magic] for the time being. After a certain amount of time, we dismantle them all together.
The corpses were thrown in a hole made with [Earth Magic] and incinerated with [Fire Magic]. Then, the hole is filled back up and that's it.
After the first two weeks, the work started to feel more and more like work, and I was getting used to defeating goblins and cleaning up after.
I thought I would get bored with this, so I thought, [This is Training!]. With that in mind, I decided to improve my skills.
I shared this with Rain and helped her acquire skills.
Presence detection, Stealth, Enemy Search, Archery, and Dagger Techniques......
At any rate, I was fooling myself by teaching her various things and improving my own skills.
Above all, I maxed out [Surveying] and [Drafting] skills.
However, running around on Ginko's back is boring, so I never thought I'd ever be able to get these two skills, which I had copied and saw in town some time ago.
Thanks to this, I was able to create a detailed map of the forest.
There are currently five marks on the map.
It's a goblin nest. If it was true, we would have to report it to the guild or destroy it ourselves...
As for the report to the guild, it is known that we travel on Ginko's back, but it is not known that we use [Transfer Magic], so if asked, [Why do you know information about a distance that is too far to travel in a day?] I couldn't come up with an excuse.
We would have to exterminate them ourselves because it would be a lot of trouble if they found out about it. Even now, we are called [Goblin Slayers] in the guild. In many ways, it makes me break out in a cold sweat.
To be honest, we're having trouble dealing with the goblin's nest.
If we leave things as they are, there will be no end to our goblin hunting.
I was troubled and worried... and made a decision.
"Rain... let's end it... if we continue to live like this... we'll be ruined..."
"Onii-sama... I was thinking that too. We can't keep going like this... but what should we do..."
"I have an idea. Will you believe me?"
"I will always believe in you, Onii-sama."
Thus, we decided to carry out the goblin extermination plan.
The plan was to first destroy two nests ourselves.
Graham-san's party and Mohawk's party would find the rest and have the other adventurers destroy them.
Rain and I quickly exterminated two goblin nests.
I shot as much [Fire Magic] as I could into the nest, trying to clear up my pent-up anger. I don't even need the magic stones anymore. It was carefully destroyed so that not even a trace of the nest remained.
We explained the situation to Graham-san and Mohawk (while deceiving them in places) and told them where the goblin's nest was.
Graham-san asked another party to confirm one of the three locations.
About 10 days after that, each party reported the discovery of the nest to the guild. Two weeks later, several adventurer parties and knights set out to exterminate the goblin nest.
As a result, a week later, the adventurers and the Knights reported that the nest was safely destroyed, and the guild master announced to the city.
In this way, we were freed from goblin hell.
