Side Story: Frontier Count Mascargo
The mansion of the Frontier Count Mascargo family in the capital is a simple and sturdy building that looks like a fortress.
In fact, this building was once a fort.
It was made to be sturdy, assuming attacks from monsters.
This fortress was bestowed by the royal family along with the territory when the Mascargo family was listed as a Frontier Count, and in order to live permanently there, they built a mansion on the site of a former military drill ground.
Julietta Mascargo, the current owner of the mansion, was in the reception room receiving a report from Kaiser, the guild master of the Adventurers' Guild of RockQueen.
"Thank you very much for the cooperation of the Knights."
Kaiser bowed his head and expressed his gratitude.
"It's what I promised. Don't worry about it. On the contrary, I must thank you. It is thanks to you and the adventurers that we were able to endure, protect, and defeat the source of the problem. I thank you from the bottom of my heart."

Julietta frowned at that report.

"Perhaps the goblins were short on food. Most of the bodies were nothing but bones, the rest had starved to death."
